Bishops Stortford

Bishop’s Stortford is now home to around 40,000 people and is very popular with commuters, due to its mix of High Street brands, eateries and great transport connections to London.

Starting out as a small but thriving market town throughout the Middle Ages it had already achieved a population of 2300 by 1801, and its weekly market reflected the areas increasing prosperity and in time became a popular staging post on the mail coach routes between London, Cambridge and Newmarket.

Given the towns history the town often has interesting properties coming on to the market as well as popular new homes developments, including the large Bovis one at Stortford Fields.
