East London

The East End of London includes the boroughs of Hackney, Newham and Tower Hamlets.

West London is typically seen as the more posh side of the city, while East London is known for being a bit more gritty but in more recent years large parts of East London have been rejuvenated and house prices have increased as streets and areas have become much more fashionable to live.

As famous for Jack the Ripper in Victorian times as it is for Brick Lane in the latter part of the 20th century, the area is a cultural melting pot where you can get involved with a diverse range of activities from watching sporting events in the Olympic Park to browsing independent galleries in Hoxton.
