Sitting proudly in the northern-most of the Suffolk coast is Lowestoft, famous for being the most easterly town and the first place to see the sunrise in the UK, it’s also the birthplace of composer, Benjamin Britten.

Famous once for its herring drifters fishing in the North Sea, and also for the trawlers which venture much further in search of cod, haddock and skate.

Sadly, much of the local fishing has gone now and the employment provided by North Sea Oil is still prevalent, but it is fair to say the town still attracts tourists aplenty, all who can enjoy its history by walking in the centre and along the beaches.

With a population of just over 70,000 people the town with its rich history always bring to market a wide and varied selection of properties to buy.
